My husband, went into the HUD Website, he clicked the Home Affordable Modification, then clicked the eligibility, answering the questions, then clicked submit, a page came up saying "Yes your eligible, giving a 800 phone number along with a claim number". Which turned out to be Premier Legal Advocates. A couple days later, I went into HUD and clicked all the same things, same thing came up. Did anyone else find Premier Legal Advocates by going into the HUD Website?

Fred,

I didn't find Premier Legal Advocates at the HUD website but linked their BBB report above your initial question for you view their report. It's highly unlikey HUD would refer anyone to this company but I urge you to read it for yourself.

According to their BBB report this company advertises the ability to stop foreclosures by modifying mortgage loans. Although the company's promotional materials and contract use terms such as "retainer agreement," and "legal advocates," implying they are, or are associated with a law firm, they are not a law firm.

There also have been some government actions against Premier Legal Advocates, check out the report by clicking View BBB report.

Thanks for your input. I already made a report with the BBB, and Trust Link. I also wrote to HUD. Now I'm in the midst of reporting them to the other scam sights. Back in Jan. 2010, when I checked with the BBB they rated a B-, with no report's. When I checked again in July, the had a F. But like I said before, their number came up once we clicked were we eligible on the HUD cite. Some how they had to of hacked into it. I was just trying to find out if the same happened to any one else when in HUD. A week after I went to HUD and ended up with their number, my wife tried it and again, ended up with their number. If we do it now-go to HUD, when you click submit after reading the questions are you eligible, it takes you directly to the application for the Affordable Home Modification. I'm sorry to say, they got us too.
Again, thanks for your input.

If you have been scammed by a loan modification company in California, please contact the Attorney Generals office as well as the Attorney General in your state. Also the Governor of California and Dept of Real Estate and Dept of Corporations. Don't give up. Fight to get your money back. Also contact the Police Chief in the city where the company is located and the mayor of that city. I was scammed out of $3000 by National Relief Group in Irvine CA. Now they are doing an investigation into the the company that scammed me and so many others.
