Beware of this company and Gary Beale, the owner. After using his alarm company, American Alarm Systems, for 20+ years, when the system they installed for me (and I have been paying $25/mo. to monitor for all these years) malfunctioned, he left me high and dry. The system dialed their central station every minute for months and incurred $2,068 on my long distance bill and no one could figure out what it was. When it was discovered it was there alarm system and the phone company determined that the charges were my responsibility, American Alarm said I owned the equipment so I was responsible for the charges. How bad is that?
I have sinced changed to another company. I have never been treated this unprofessionally in my life. I am negotiating with the phone company to have the charges removed but it is difficult because it has been determined that it is American Alarm System's equipment malfunction that caused the charges.
