Yeah, this company STINKS of a scam. They called my 79 year old recently widowed mother and THANK GOD she remembered that she is to NOT handle any calls regarding money without one of her children. This guy named Steve Hansen, calls my mother yesterday and she told him to call back today and conference me in. He told me that my mother paid $312 a few years ago to another company to advertise her timeshare for her. He then proceeds to tell me that Time Share Mega Media, Inc found a preapproved borrower for the property and needs $999 to deposit in their escrow account after which he'd send all the documents with the prospective new owners information and the documents requiring signature for the finality of the sell. I told him if he wanted money, he needed to send the documents for review. He said he couldn't do that. I googled the company name while on the phone and told him the BBB gave the company an F. He went on to talk about how companies pay the BBB for good ratings and that Walmart has an F with them as well. I'm not a Walmart shopper as I don't support modern day slavery and I truly feel they deserve an F, so this piece of information from him did not go over well with me. We went back and forth for 24 minutes and I finally told him that if he could not send the documents that required signature until after the $999 was received that he should send us a letter recapping the conversation and specifically stating what the company was going to do, what they required and what my mother would be receiving. He stated he needed to discuss it with the Big Wig as he couldn't just send letters tailored to everyone. I told him to discuss it with whomever and call us back tomorrow... I guess we'll see if he calls back... if so, I will definitely update here...
