Made a stop into Walters Mercedes Benz, Riverside to check out a new S- Class. "Peter" assisted me. Ended up test driving a CL-550 instead. Nice car, was planning to trade in my car and lease this vehicle. $125k for the car. First I was insulted when I was told my 4 year old SL500 was only worth $21k!!!!!!! which was also over $100k new. Then, I was told with PERFECT CREDIT I would need to give $5,000.00 down and pay $2,500.00 a month for 48 months!! DO THE MATH! that's $125,000.00 total! and the car would still have a $55,000.00 residual for a total of payments= $180,000 in 4 years and Im quite certain it too will be worth the same $21,000 my SL500 is worth. Bottom line, we are in the worst recession of my lifetime but Walters Mercedes Benz doesn't need or want to EARN business by being honest. What kind of FOOL would pay $180,000.00 for a $125,000 car which they were kind enough to "discount just for me to $114,000" GFYS Walters! I will be sure to tell everyone of my experience. Also, I will be buying my new Mercedes elsewhere
